Hi everyone! It's been over half a year since I've updated my blog. How have you been holding up? Covid is still a huge problem and is stopping me from moving to Tokyo or Miami. I've started livestreaming on an app called BIGO instead of Twitch, but I eventually want to return to Twitch to livestream DJ sets, as music is one of my passions. I've been single for about two months now, and it's a very different lifestyle than the one I've grown accustomed to for the past two years. I'm a firm believer that people grow the most when they are single. I certainly had to learn how to become more independent. I actually enjoy and treasure my alone time. I watch a lot of anime; I've seen all of Naruto and Shippuden, Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Revengers, Doctor Stone, Tonikawa (Fly Me To The Moon), Rent a Kanojo, Is it Wrong To Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, Demon Slayer, Inuyasha, The God of High School, Tower of God, Death Note, and I'm sure there are more I've forgotten to mention. I've also seen (but not finished) Hunter x Hunter, My Hero Academia, Boruto, Attack on Titan, Re:Zero, Full Metal Alchemist, and Tokyo Ghoul. If you have any anime recommendations, please let me know! I can't believe I've been studying Japanese for 16 years and majored in it at UCLA but only discovered anime during the pandemic. I finally get what it means to be a weeb. It's awesome Japanese practice and makes me respect Japanese culture even more. I want to go back to Japan so badly- I feel like I could live my best life there if it weren't for COVID and the borders being closed. My 5-year engineering visa Zairyuu card expired in 2020, unfortunately :( So to go back, I'd need to figure out a way to get a visa to stay long-term. But I miss the food, the culture, the people, and the lifestyle of Tokyo so much. I don't like to stay in one place for too long, I like to be on the move. I love to travel. Hopefully COVID will be over soon and the world can return back to normal. I really don't want to give COVID to my parents, so I can't travel. It's frustrating. Sorry, let's focus on the positives. I'm very grateful to be able to live and spend time with my mom here in Hawaii. I'm grateful to be able to freedive in beautiful Hawaii's oceans (check out the diving videos on my IG profile!). I'm grateful to be with my Turtle. I'm grateful that there are people around me who care about me. I'm grateful for my BIGO friends and for anime and for delicious Hawaii food. Wow, so many things have changed since I've last written a blog entry. I really need to update my blog more often, don't I? All right, that's all I've got to say for now. If you're reading this, be healthy, happy, and know that I appreciate you for taking an interest in my life.
