My early life had an unusual path. I completed my B.Tech. in Computer Science from Anna University at the age of 15 years, and M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Madras at the age of 17 years. I was also a gold medalist at IIT. Subsequently, when I went for my MS in Finance at the University of Oxford, I was 20 years old with a Master's degree and 3 years of work experience!
I spent over 11 years in the industry, in a variety of roles: research, consulting, product management, and technical lead in ML/AI. I then also joined a PhD at IIT Madras and graduated in 2024.
Overall, I have had two primary interests throughout my life: technology and finance. My academic background before my PhD was in computer science and finance, followed by a PhD in artificial intelligence. My career path has also reflected my interests: though I have spent the majority of my time in technology at some of the topmost companies, I also spent around a few years in strategy and management consulting at the most prestigious consulting firms.
