Land Management agencies-

LMWFA- Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act, a Congressional act that became law in 2015 which allows temporary and term employees of Land Management agencies to compete for Merit positions when they meet the requirements and can prove it with documentation. Basically, having 24 total months (with a max 2 year break) of temp employment with Land Management agencies makes you eligible.
PSE- Permanent Seasonal Employee, or a permanent employee who is guaranteed 13 or 18 pay periods of work during the year (out of 26 pay periods)
PFT- Permanent Full Time Employee, or a permanent employee who is guaranteed 26 out of 26 pay periods of work per year, or a full year of work.
Temporary/Seasonal Temp/1039- Temporary employees hired for a maximum of 1039 hours during a year. These jobs are called "1039" because they are only legally allowed to work 1039 hours in a season.
Open Continuous Recruitment (OCRs): Positions that are currently filled but MAY become open to "backfill".
Single Vacancy Announcement (SVAs): Positions that are currently vacant and open for application.
