Hello, and thank you for visiting my webpage! I am Chaitanya J. Kulkarni. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics at IIT Bombay, under the mentorship of Professor Bata Krishna Das. This position is supported by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. I completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at IISER Bhopal under the guidance of Dr. Angshuman Bhattacharya. Broadly, I work in the field of functional analysis, with a particular focus on completely positive maps, commonly known as quantum channels. They play a fundamental role in quantum information theory. My research explores the mathematical structure and properties of these maps, with an emphasis on their decomposition and studying operator algebraic aspects.
