From Hell to Writing: My Mission to Break the Silence
I know what it means to live in fear — and to find the courage to speak. I myself went through the hell of domestic violence. Silent, invisible, but deep enough to change me forever.
Between 2018 and 2022, through the NGO I founded in Ukraine, we provided women with direct crisis support, psychological and legal assistance, returned children to their mothers who had been kept by abusive fathers, and fought for the system to finally see those it had ignored for decades. I was a public voice on national television, accompanied women in courts, police stations and social services — searching for their children alongside them, shoulder to shoulder. I participated in drafting legislation aimed at combating domestic violence and parental child abduction. I know this struggle from the inside too.
Writing has always been my weapon. For years I wrote about domestic violence under pseudonyms, and later created content for my organisation's pages. But words on a screen felt ephemeral to me — I needed something tangible, something a mother could place in her daughter's hands.
My first book was inevitable. «Locked in the Sea» is a psychological novel built on real stories that must be heard. It follows a young Ukrainian singer who disappears into a system designed to destroy her — where the police, the courts and social services do not merely betray women, but become accomplices of their abusers.
The Last Reincarnation» is the first book of my mystical trilogy about how women have been forced into silence for centuries. A book about love, adventure and the return of feminine energy to the world.
And as a mother of two sons, I also write for the youngest readers — about the small habits that forge a strong character, and about the friendship that defines us.
The war brought me from Ukraine to Spain. But my mission crossed every border with me — because pain and fear do not stop at checkpoints. And neither does hope. Today I continue to offer consultations to those who need them, and I keep writing my books.
On every page are the whispers of women who entrusted me with their pain and their hope. This is not just my profession — it is my calling, my superpower born from scars. My books are not just stories. They are the voice of those who have been silent for too long.
