The place to list all kinds of cultural heritage opportunities:
individual job postings and links to the job boards of other organizations.
It's free for everyone!
CHAACo's job board removes barriers to participation in the cultural heritage job market.
We believe access to employment, career opportunities, and candidates shouldn't require payment or insider networks.
We recognize that fees and administrative overhead mean that small jobs can't get the same treatment as big ones, and small budgets mean thinking twice before using paid recruiting tools; therefore freelance workers, small private practices, marginalized cultural groups, and organizations seeking volunteers are especially underserved by existing job boards.
This volunteer-run job board is free to use, includes both individual postings and links to live job boards from other organizations, and does not require an account. We also welcome job postings connected in any way to cultural heritage. With this approach we can:
Provide an affordable and easy way to advertise short-term, gig work, project, and volunteer opportunities, in addition to more traditional job listings.
Help job-seekers find relevant experience and income even when times are tough.
Facilitate cross-pollination of skills and ideas across disciplines and auxiliary roles.
CHAACo views cultural heritage work and opportunities holistically. We welcome listings for any roles that support cultural heritage stewardship and provide employees opportunity for exposure to and/or exchange of related ideas.
You can decide what counts at your organization and list anything, as long as the opportunity to connect even tangentially with cultural heritage work is made clear in your listing.
For example:
Do all staff positions at your museum (regardless of position type or department) get a museum membership, professional development opportunities, and internal cross-departmental hiring consideration?
Does your company supply high-quality materials to conservation labs and mount-makers, and have positions that advise on the specs and proper use of those materials?
Does your school need an art history teacher's aide for a semester?
Those are all essential roles in the stewardship of cultural heritage, and they clearly provide opportunities for those employees to connect with the subject matter. Post them here!

If the job board becomes a popular tool, we would like to introduce advanced features such as email alerts, distance-based searches, and more.
Such features will require us to upgrade our hosting platforms, which will first require us to receive funding to support the costs.
Please report any bugs, incorrect information, or malicious content so we can address them promptly! Contact Us Form
