Unit 3 Flipped and Blended Learning
Assignment
This Unit I created two Flipped Learning lessons to help improve math instruction in my classroom. The first lesson used videos from Khan Academy to help teach and reinforce concepts about fractions. The second lesson I created instructional videos for students to use Google Forms to create forms to collect data, how to export it to Google Sheets and make graphs to interpret the data, and finally answer questions in Google Forms to share how they interpreted the data.
Reflection
Flipped Learning will allow students in my classroom more opportunities to learn at the pace that works for them. They can work through material at their own pace and review as much as they need. A huge benefit I see with this model that I did not understand how it would work with the Flipped Model is more differentiation for students. This model gives teachers an excellent chance to facilitate learning and give students opportunities to expand on their learning or take questions further as they come up. More chances for specific and timely feedback will help all students grow as they can receive that feedback where and when they need it instead of often having to wait longer for that feedback in a more traditional model of teaching.
