This week, we are going to close our discussion of will, going to, and present progressive to talk about the future. The most important points to bear in mind are the following:
1. This current workshop takes for granted that we all have a basic understanding of the "cognitive structure" that underlies the 3 constructions mentioned above; yet, if you are not too sure about this, please let me refer you to our past Cognitive Grammar Seminar:

In addition, I have left a video down below that summarizes the whole matter. Ideally, though, you should take some time in the future to read the 3 books and the 2 articles that we discussed in our Cognitive Grammar Seminar.
2. Our goal for this week is to create a digital material that we can use either face-to-face with our students or remotely via an online platform. The end result product should look something like the following PPT. Please, click the image below and download the file to your computer:
Once you have downloaded the file to your computer, please open it so that you have a better idea of what we want to achieve (this is in fact the very same presentation that we studied some weeks ago).
3. I have prepared several "templates" for you to use. These are PowerPoint templates. You can download as many as (or all if) you want. Just click on any of the links below. Once you click a link, please accept the download prompt, and save the file to your computer so that you can start working on it.
4. TO BE CARRIED OUT DURING OUR ZOOM MEETING:
Peer Assessment/Support: please open the following collaborative document and help us all review and improve our work:

6. In case you wish to review any part of our past meetings, or in the event that you were not able to attend one of them, here are the recordings:
