Joyce Janzen has been a member of BCRMTA since 1983 and currently serves as its registrar. She teaches piano, theory, history, written and keyboard harmony, and analysis. Joyce enjoys the challenge of relating to each student as an individual. In addition to scoring and editing the Keyboard Harmony workbooks, Joyce has developed self-study workbooks for history courses.
Nita Pelletier has been a member of BCRMTA since 1988 and currently serves as chair of the Board of Examiners. Nita teaches piano, theory, keyboard harmony, history, and analysis. In addition to working on keyboard harmony materials, Nita often serves as accompanist for the annual Performing Arts BC festival.
Joyce and Nita have presented solo seminars on a variety of theory topics. As a team, Joyce and Nita have conducted on-line seminars on Keyboard Harmony for teachers in BC and Alberta. In person presentations include the 2024 BCRMTA convention in Abbotsford, and the 2025 CFMTA convention in Montreal.
