Spring Break Food Drive

Once again we will be collecting food for our food insecure students to take home over break. There will be options to contribute by bringing food to the school and by ordering from our Amazon list.

Carnival Prep Party 8/22

Join us Friday, Aug. 22 right after school, to help us get set up for carnival success! We will spend some time organizing and setting up all our carnival games. Any available children of members are welcome to come help test out the games!

Afterward, we will label, clean, and put everything back in our storage shed and treat everyone to a free hotdog meal! Please RSVP using our Google form so we know how much food to provide.

Silent Auction and Dance: Free Admission

Join Us: Friday, April 25, 2025

Mark those calendars for PTCO's yearly event! This year's event will be held on April 25th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm and our DJ will be spinning tunes for the beach party themed dance, plus we will have the In-N-Out food truck a wide variety of items to bid on at the silent auction! The BOGO Book Fair and Art Show will also be happening at this time. Admission is free and cash or credit card are accepted for auction bids and food truck.

Pre-order In-N-Out meals ($5 for a burger, chips, and drink) using our Google Form. We will have a limited number of meals for sale that night on a first come, first serve basis.

This event is always a blast, and we have a very special evening in store!

Spring Break food drive

For some students in the D11 district, food security is more difficult while students are on break. Without the school breakfast and lunch, some of our students have a greater need. Columbia PTCO would love your help in making sure these students are fed over Spring Break.

How you can help

Bring new, unexpired food items to Columbia or purchase from our Amazon list to ship directly to us.
Serve with us to put bags together on March 14 or 20.

We will be collecting items March 10-19 for final distribution on March 20!

Switchback Coffee Roasters' Shooks Run location is serving up more than just great coffee - they're helping our local school community! Join us for a day where every purchase makes a difference.

When you stop by Switchback at 330 N. Institute on December 13th, 7% of all your purchases will directly support the Columbia Elementary PTCO. Whether you're grabbing a hot drink, picking up some whole beans, shopping for merch, or buying a gift card, you'll be contributing to our students.

Want to go the extra mile? Donate via Square, and the PTCO will surprise a hardworking Columbia staff member with a special treat. It's a delicious way to show appreciation for our educators!

Columbia Fall Carnival

Join us for carnival games, our famous cake walk, food, crafts, and fun at Columbia on Friday, Oct. 11, as we celebrate the season. Feel free to come in costume, as long as they are family friendly!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the fun lasts till 7:30 p.m.

We rely on our awesome community of volunteers to help us make this awesome night happen for our Cougars, so please check out our signup sheet and consider lending your time.

Stellina + Columbia = Community Constellations May 24th, 3 PM - 9PM

Columbia Elementary and the Columbia Elementary PTCO are very excited to continue our partnership for the 2022-2023 school year with Stellina Pizza Cafe as a part of their Community Constellations program. Stellina Pizza Cafe has been generously working with Columbia PTCO since the 2021 school year by providing donations, partnering for Winter Trivia to provide coupons, and hosting two very successful fundraiser nights and donating 10% of their profits to the Columbia PTCO, benefiting all students. We hope that all Columbia families have an opportunity to visit this local establishment and support their efforts to partner with the community and bring some fantastic food and drink to our neighborhood.

First Friday Art Showcase

Columbia Elementary and the Columbia Elementary PTCO are very excited to continue our partnership with Stellina as a part of their community legacy program. Join us at Stellina on Friday, May 6th to support our local art scene by check out work our very own Columbia Elementary artists while enjoying some delicious food, drink and gelato (kind of like Italian ice cream).

🎉 A+ Arts Integration at Columbia Elementary

Columbia Elementary takes pride in being a pillar of the community and in our interconnectedness with other organizations and establishments in the downtown area. Over the years, we have taken strides to meet the ever-changing needs of our neighborhood families to ensure we continue to academically engage our students effectively. This is why we are excited to share with you our opportunity to become an A+ Arts Integration school. Arts integration is “an approach to teaching and learning through which content standards are taught and assessed equitably in and through the arts.” This short video communicates the benefits of A+ Arts Integration and why we are so excited about the possibility of becoming an A+ school.
