Garden Valley:
Coming from Boise, you will be driving through gorgeous terrain with awe inspiring mountain landscapes. Please take your time and appreciate the wonder that nature has to offer! Smell the fresh air, listen to the water, take in the beauty.
Garden Valley is a small town, but they do have a local market with everything you could need. There is a small coffee shop, and a couple restaurant options nearby. Costs are a little bit higher in Garden Valley, so try to get your supplies for the weekend in Boise if possible!
There are several hot springs in the area. You can pay to go to Terrace Lakes where they maintain a pool.
Hot Springs Campground is right off the main road off Banks Lowman Rd a couple miles past the turn off for the venue (Alder Creek Rd) this hot springs is heavily trafficked.
Pine Flats Campground and Kirkham Hot Springs are two few hot springs that are also heavily trafficked. I recommend Pine Flats.
Hike in hot springs
Cross river hot springs - this is my personal favorite hot springs in the area. You do have to cross the river. It is chilly this time of year but it doesn’t go deeper than thigh deep. There are three decadent pools fed by a spring.
