Study Romanticism: Imagining Freedom documentary. You can find it by going to the Cerro Coso Databases, clicking Films on Demand, and searching for the title. There will be a quiz on the material in Week 1.
Study How to Read a Poem at Poets.org and How to Read and Talk about Poetry by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Conduct your own exploration of the following poets. You will be able to pick and choose which one to concentrate upon when the class is underway, so there is not need to become an expert on all. Simply enjoy learning about one or more for now:

This week we will read the first third of Mary Shelley's famous novel. The 1831 edition can be read on Project Gutenberg. You may also listen to an audiobook version read by Thomas A. Copeland on Librivox.
