Echo is typically an anxious, introverted cerrien who isn't one to take many risks. He tends to keep his feelings to himself - especially those that would make him seem lesser/weaker than others. Echo tends to overthink things and is very afraid of judgement from other cerriens. He does form very close bonds with those he is close to, and isn't willing to let go. His hobbies include fishing and swimming, and he has the ability to time-travel. 

His family includes Feather (mother), Aspen (father - dead), Bramble (brother - dead), Thistle (half-brother), and Thorn (half-brother). He is close friends with Inferno and Spire. 

Inferno usually upholds a very happy, enthusiastic character - yet he tends to act a little out of control when he is faced with strong emotions. He has a habit of hyper-focusing on one situation going on at a time. He is very adventurous, often very willing to take risks and doesn't like to sit out during action. His favorite pastime is drawing, which serves as a comforting medium to vent out his personal issues. His dreams often bring him inspiration for his art. The orange spots on his body glow in the dark and generate heat. They glow brighter specifically when he shows strong feelings of excitement, anger, or fear, while getting dimmer when he's sad.

Inferno's family includes Volcano (father), Bright (mother), Rose (sister), and Coal (uncle - dead). He is close friends with Echo and Spire. 

Spire is anxious and jumpy, and seems to be very easily influenced by what they hear. They have an interest in medicine and Fintarian history (vaguely). 

Spire's family includes Starlight (mother). they are close friends with Echo and Inferno. 

Feather previously served as a member of Moorest's Court of Advisors. She is very sharp and mean, and has a particular hatred for Echo. Feather often goes off alone, leaving her two younger sons with Echo. Feather doesn't seem to believe in magical powers, such as Echo's time-traveling abilities. She also has an extreme dislike for Inferno and Spire, and has no patience for the Thorn and Thistle's antics.

Feather's family includes Aspen (Former partner - dead), Bramble (son - dead), Echo (son), Thistle (son), and Thorn (son).

Thorn and Thistle are twin brothers, and very young - About two months at the start of the first book. They are rambunctious and active. Thistle is more mischievous, and is more likely to get in trouble. In contrast, Thorn is more obedient and quiet. The two often end up with Echo when Feather needs her older son to babysit. Thistle in particular is shown to hate school. 

Their family includes Feather (mother), an unnamed father, Echo (half-brother), and Bramble (half-brother - dead). They are friends with Inferno and Spire, with Spire in particular enjoying playing with them. 

Volcano is a member of Moorest's Court of Advisors alongside his partner, Prism. he is very caring and protective of his children. He almost sees Echo as a third child and is empathetic to his struggles. The orange spots on his body glow in the dark and generate heat. Like his son, they glow brighter depending on his emotions.

His family includes Bright (pink-partner), Coal (brother - dead) Inferno (son), and Rose (daughter). he is loosely friends with Wells, and was close with Aspen before his death. He very much dislikes Feather.

Bright is another member of Moorest's Court of Advisors. She values her duties as such and is very caring to those in need. 

Bright's family includes Volcano (pink-partner), Inferno (son), and Rose (daughter). 

Rose is a Moorestian medic trainee. She is very cheerful, like her brother, but is more serious. She has a passion for healing, and has been helping and learning from the medics since she was a kitten. As a result of this, she was often away when Echo would visit her family's den, and she didn't grow as close with him as Inferno did. Despite her talent, she is always careful to consult a more experienced medic before treating any cerrien. 

Her family includes Volcano (father), Bright (mother), Inferno (brother), and Coal (uncle - dead). She is loosely friends with Echo and Spire. 

Starlight is the commander of the military in Moorest. She was also the one who found and brought back Echo's egg. She is stern and probably oblivious to Feather's disapproval when she gives her the egg. 

Starlight's Family includes Spire (child). 

He was a Moorestian soldier before becoming a victim of a mysterious murder. Although, he was very a happy and playful cerrien that was patient towards Inferno's over-eagerness and had a seemingly close relationship with both him and Volcano. 

His family includes Volcano (brother), Inferno (nephew), and Rose (neice).

She was a Moorestian teacher before becoming a victim of a mysterious murder. 

She was a Moorestian medic before becoming a victim of a mysterious murder. 

It is a cerrien-like figure, mysterious and shadowy 

Holly is one of the leaders of Moorest. She is relatively calm is disastrous situations, but still recognizes danger. She takes her role as leader very seriously and knows that many members of the tribe panic easily. 

She is implied to be somewhat close with Tumbleweed

Gray is another leader of the Moorest and is thought to be part mountain cerrien due to his fluffier pelt. He is comparatively less careful with his wording than Holly is, and less mature, although he does try his best. Before his election to leader he took up the hobby of gardening, but now his time is more preoccupied with leader issues.

Albino is the third leader of the Moorest. He is the oldest and impatient with the civilians. He is sensible yet stoic, and doesn't seem to mind if he ever offends any cerrien.
