National FFA Auditions

• Must sing "America the Beautiful" on a pitch that is comfortable for you. 

• Sing a two octave scale on an open vowel of you choir.  Must include a range that goes through the break, using the falsetto (upper register).

• Provide a short vocal solo exhibiting expressive singing and facial expressions.  This can be previously recorded or a cappella.  You are free to choose music from any genre, however, please remember voices are sought that can blend within a choral ensemble.  

General information: Students are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from Indianapolis, IN. Students must be at the hotel and ready for rehearsals no later than 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 and may depart anytime after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. 

 *****State IHSMA marching festival is the morning of October 17th.  All students that are accepted must attend the state marching event before departing for the convention.

• Play the chormatic scale as many octaves as possible. 

• Play the major scale of your choice. 

• Play a solo and/or technical study to demonstrate your skills.
