Bike rides along the Erie Canalway Trail
The nearby Erie Canalway Trail is a multi-use recreational path (biking, walking, skating) that is mostly level and is usually easy biking with views along the Erie Canal. The three routes listed here can be easily shortened or lengthened to suit your riding style and free time. These routes are almost entirely off-road on paved paths. There are numerous parking areas that can be reached by a 30-40 minute drive from the fairground. Pick a parking area to start at and ride.
Routes from West to East:
Erie Canalway (1) - Little Falls to Canajoharie (19 miles)
Erie Canalway (2) - Canajoharie to Amsterdam (22 miles)
Erie Canalway (3) - Amsterdam to Schenectady (17 miles)
