Chief – John Nealy
Chief – John Nealy
Chief John Nealy serves as Director of the Pickens County Volunteer Rescue Squads (Rescue 6,7 and 8). He is also Interim Captain of Rescue 7. He joined the organization as a volunteer in 1981.
In addition to his leadership role with Pickens County Rescue, Chief Nealy is affiliated with the Pickens County Emergency Management Office.

Captain – Britain Tate
Captain Britain Tate has served as Captain of Central Rescue Squad (Rescue 6) since August 2024. He joined the organization in late 2023 and previously served as Lieutenant from March 2024 until his appointment as Captain.
In addition to his leadership role with Central Rescue Squad, Captain Tate is affiliated with multiple fire departments throughout the region. Before relocating to Upstate South Carolina in 2022, he served with the Lugoff Fire Department for five years, where he gained valuable experience in fire and emergency services.
Outside of his public service responsibilities, Captain Tate enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Lieutenant – Hunter Vaughan
Lieutenant Hunter Vaughan has served as Acting Lieutenant of Central Rescue Squad since November 2024. He joined the organization in September 2023 and previously served as the squad's Property Officer, where he was responsible for maintaining inventory records and managing department equipment.
