Internship

Healthcare Internship

Central Arizona Services and Assistance (aka CASA LLC or the 'company') Behavioral Health Internship Program offers college students enrolled in academic internship course. Students must complete a minimum clinical hours in order to complete a behavioral health technician certification, or an associate’s degree in applied sciences with an emphasis on behavioral or other healthcare related fields. We’re excited about this wonderful partnership with Maricopa Community College District, the students joining our clinical team and the opportunities this partnership will offer, not only for our patients, but for the students and our staff. We hope that many of these interns will want to come to work as behavioral health technicians at the Central Arizona Services and Assistance agency.

The Integrated Behavioral Health Internship Training program, Central Arizona Services and Assistance @ Tempe, is intended to provide trainees with supervised clinical experience and training in an integrated community setting. Working in a community setting requires, among other things, an appreciation of diversity and an ability to adapt to changing needs and resources. The program places a high commitment on training and therefore makes every effort to provide trainees with the experiences which will prepare them to work in these communities and centers, and to perform a number of services required of a mental health care provider.

The Integrated Behavioral Health internship program activities will consist primarily of behavioral health consultation, assessment, brief intervention, case management and crisis management.
