Create a Spa Vision Board (100 points)

Create a physical or digital vision board of your treatment room for a completion grade and to recive credit for this project. There must be a minimum of 15 photos.

Class, it's time to start thinking about the equipment you'll need for your future careers! Selecting the right tools is crucial for success in the esthetics industry, whether you plan to work in a spa or start your own business. This project will not only help you prepare for your future careers but also give you valuable insights into the business side of the industry and equip you with the knowledge needed to select high-quality, professional-grade equipment for your future practice.

Requirement for this assignment

Create a visual that showcases two pieces of the same type of equipment and compare the two with 5 bullet points for each.

You should pick five different types of equipment you will use in the salon totaling 10 different brands.

Identify Face and Eye Shapes

Understanding face and eye shapes is paramount for makeup artists. It allows them to tailor makeup application techniques to enhance individual features and create the most flattering looks. By analyzing facial structure and eye shape, makeup artists can strategically place colors, shadows, and highlights to minimize imperfections, accentuate strengths, and achieve desired effects, ultimately enhancing a client's natural beauty and boosting their confidence.

For this assignment:

Create a word doc/canva graphic with a photo of makeup look for each face and eye shape in your textbook.

This includes 7 face shapes and 9 eye shapes. Write a description for each on how to correct the face or eye shape. If both criteria are not completed on the slide, then all points for each slide are taken.

This includes 16 slides for 6.25 points a piece.

Ultimately, a solid business plan provides a clear vision and strategic direction, minimizing risks and maximizing profitability.

For this project we will be following the Booker Business Plan with the following criteria (100 points total):

Describe your company (10 points)

• Mission Statement

• Company Name

Plan Your Finances (10 points)

• Calculate your monthly expenses

• Figure out how much you’ll charge for services

• Estimate Backbar costs (create a breakdown of products)

• 2 Brands/Can be a body line for the second brand

• Estimate Retail costs (create a breakdown of products)

• 2 Brands/Can be a body line for the second brand

Define your Target Market (5 points)

• Answer questions listed in Booker Business Plan

Location and Licensing (5 points)

• State how/where to obtain a business license in TN

• List 2 alternate locations for your business aside from the first location listed in step 1

• Create a Marketing Plan and an Initial Marketing Budget (5 points)

• Describing how you intend to effectively market your spa

• 5 bullets or five sentences

• List booking software and website software along with the cost of each

Planning the Menu (5 points)

• Create a service menu

• Utilize Product from backbar for ideas (can be protocols from the company)

Identify Your Management Team (5 points)

• List the responsibilities of your manager along with how much they would get paid

Outline Day to Day (5 points)

• List staff, their responsibilities, and how much they will be compensated

Appendix (5 points)

• Create a slide or slides that add to your project (no more than 3 additional slides and a minimum of 1)
