About Me

Enjoys life in California. So excited to be teaching mathematics, engineering, and computer science at Canyon Crest Academy. This will be my 27th year working in education mostly as a classroom teacher with 2 years spent working as a math instructional specialist at New Visions for Public Schools in New York City (2012-2014) and 16 years of teaching math and physics before that in 5 different countries... US - NYC & San Diego, Switzerland - Zurich, Curacao, Sweden - Stockholm, and Mexico - D.F.

Before becoming a teacher, I studied Costume Design at New York University Tisch School of the Arts (MFA) and worked as a freelance costume designer.  I also studied mechanical / aerospace engineering at Rutgers University College of Engineering and worked in the aerospace industry so I am indeed a rocket scientist. Besides work, I run for health and half marathons and also enjoy creative pursuits such as knitting, painting, and beading to name a few. I love Disney and will also read almost anything so suggest away.
