Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person.
CellarView does not centrally collect, store, or sell personal information. While CellarView locations may contain street address information and location services may be used to determine the current location of devices, this data exists only on the devices where CellarView is installed and in your personal iCloud database -- accessible only by you.
Beginning in version 2.0, non-personal information (including wine, purchase and wine rating data) is collected and stored by CellarView. This information is aggregated and homogenized so that it is impossible for it to be used to identify or contact you. CellarView will use this information in future releases to provide new functionality, including, for example: Wine Search, Wine Trends, and summary level Analytics.
CellarView does not provide or sell any information or data to third parties.
Again, while CellarView does not collect or store personal information, the CellarView team is occasionally contacted via e-mail by customers with problems or issues. Thus, log files, email addresses and other contact information may be exchanged. This information is not shared, and reasonable efforts are used (e.g., network and computer security) to ensure that it is not stolen or inadvertently disclosed.
CellarView uses Apple location-based services to implement its location filtering functionality. Location filtering will filter data contained in Wine List and Cellars interfaces based on the current location of the device (if within 3 kilometers of a CellarView location). You must explicitly grant CellarView permission to use the Apple services and enable location filtering in CellarView's settings. You also have the ability to revoke either or both of these via device and CellarView settings.
The information about the current location of your devices exists only on the devices where you've installed CellarView. CellarView does not store or log it on these devices or anywhere else.
CellarView supports European data privacy laws by allowing you to export stored data; after all, your data is yours! You can export bottles and/or cellars to .csv files or make a copy of a CellarView backup (also .csv files).
As CellarView runs only on iPhone and iPad, Apple's Privacy Policy may also be of interest to you.
Should you have any questions or concerns about CellarView privacy, please feel free to contact us by email at CellarViewApp@gmail.com
