Overview

CellarScan helps businesses and individuals manage wine and beverage inventory with barcode scanning, team collaboration, and cloud sync. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

By creating an account and using CellarScan, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account Information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We do not access your Google contacts or emails.

Inventory Data — You add product names, quantities, prices, categories, distributors, locations, and session history. This data is stored in the cloud so your team can access it from multiple devices.

Camera Usage — The app uses your camera to scan barcodes. Camera input is processed on-device to decode the barcode and is never stored, transmitted, or shared as an image or video.

Usage Analytics — We collect anonymous crash reports and usage metrics to improve stability. This is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Data

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Your inventory data is shared only with members of cellars you own or join. We use these third-party services:

- Supabase — cloud database hosting

- Google Sign-In — authentication

- RevenueCat — subscription management

Data Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and stored in a managed cloud database with row-level security. Access is restricted to authenticated members of your cellar.

Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes all cellars you own and your memberships. You can also clear inventory data without deleting your account.

Your Rights

- Export your inventory anytime via Settings

- Delete your account or all data

- Sign out at any time

- Manage subscriptions through your device settings

Children's Privacy

CellarScan is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

No Advertising

We do not display ads or share your data with advertising networks.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change.
