Services to the profession

Since 2022, I am an advisory board member for the project RESPECT (A Prospective Mixed-Methods-REsearch Project on Subjective Birth Experience and PErson-centred Care in ParenTs and Obstetric Health Care Staff) led by Prof. Garthus-Niegel at TU Dresden and funded by the German Ministry of Health. 

Since 2020, I serve the Ethics committee, Bielefeld University, Germany (first as deputy member, and since 2023 as full member). 

Since 2020, I am also one of the co-editors of the SEDiP (Social Epidemiology Discussion Papers) published by the School of Public Health, Bielefeld University, Germany.

In 2021, I acted as a mentor within the MeCoSa (Mentoring and Coaching Programme for women in the Academia) Programme, an initiative aiming at supporting young women in academia from the Gender research and equality coordination office, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany.

I have been a reviewer for academic journals since 2016. Among them: BMJ Open, PLOS One, BMC Public Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters, the International Journal of Public Health, BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth.

​Since 2018, I am a member of the Research Network “Women and Gender Research Network in North-Rhine Westphalia”, Germany. Since 2021 I am a member of the German Society of Epidemiology (DGEpi), Germany.
