My NSTU Local President release day will be on Wednesdays again this year. Once reps are selected and the information is gathered I will be reaching out to reps to plan visits to schools. I look forward to meeting members, chatting about school specific needs and enjoy great company. I am able to plan visits in the morning, at lunch or after school, whatever works best for each school site.

All schools and work sites need an NSTU rep. Schools with 25 members have ONE rep, schools with 26-50 members may have TWO reps, schools with 51+ may have THREE members and schools with 100+ members may have FOUR reps . Time must be given during the first two days of school for the election of a rep or reps. Thanks to all executive members and reps for their dedicated service this year, you have made a challenging job easier and more enjoyable. Shout out to all members who participated and engaged in events during the year, it has been a pleasure to meet so many new people this year and I am looking forward to continuing this role for the 2025-26 year!
I am wishing all CEHL members a glorious, well-deserved summer break enjoying all the things you enjoy most to recover and recharge for next year!

Congratulations to the new members of the Colchester-East Hants Local Executive: Curt Crane (CEC) 3 year term as Treasurer and Allan MacDonald (CCJHS) 1 year Member at Large. Shannon Roy, Katrina Murphy and Mike Fougere will all begin a second term of their current roles.

The elections will be held at the Local Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 28. Nominees MUST be at the meeting to be considered. I am in the office on Wednesdays and I am looking forward to visiting schools and meeting members. I am going to reach out to reps and request times to visit schools so I can fill up my Wednesdays for the final weeks of school. My union day is Friday this week, if there is any school that would like to book a school visit please let me know as soon as possible!!
