"Media Lab" Awarded the Quality Label: When Digital Transition Becomes Real Impact
12/12/2025
On 11 December 2025, at Vivacom Art Hall in Sofia, during the Annual Valourisation Conference of the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) under the theme
“Digital Transition – From Idea to Opportunity!”, the Media Lab project of CEGE Association was officially awarded a Quality Label — a recognition for excellence, impact, and innovation in digital education and youth work.
During the conference, HRDC distinguished 35 projects implemented in Bulgaria with the support of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. These initiatives stand out for the way they:
modernise learning in digital environments;
transform how educators and youth workers engage with young people;
position Bulgaria as an active innovator on the European education map.
For CEGE Association, receiving the Quality Label for Media Lab is a strong validation that our work in media literacy, critical thinking, and responsible digital participation creates meaningful and sustainable change
In his opening address, Mr Nikolay Spasov, Executive Director of HRDC, highlighted the human dimension behind every successful project:
“Behind every statistic, there are people who turn the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes into real opportunities for development.”
This message strongly resonated with our team. Media Lab is the result of collective effort — dedication, creativity, and shared belief in the power of education to empower young people in a rapidly changing digital world.
For everyone at CEGE Association who worked on the project, this recognition is not only an honour, but also a source of renewed motivation.
We feel encouraged to continue experimenting, learning, and pushing boundaries — designing initiatives that respond to real needs and equip young people with skills that truly matter.
The Quality Label reinforces our commitment to:
ethical and responsible use of digital tools;
strengthening media and digital competences;
creating inclusive learning spaces where young people feel confident, informed, and empowered.
The Valourisation Conference was more than a ceremony. It was a powerful reminder that when vision, collaboration, and sustainability come together, digital transition moves:
from an idea → to an opportunity → to real impact.
We extend our sincere thanks to HRDC, our partners, fellow organisations, educators, youth workers, and all innovators who continue to drive positive change through education and solidarity.
