This property was originally built in 1934 and appears to be a Sears & Robuck mail-order cabin. Originally built as a one-room cabin with outdoor plumbing, it has evolved over the years. However, between 1990 and 2017, the cabin was largely abandoned. During this time, the roof rotted and there was considerable water damage inside. Most of the structural issues have been resolved and the current effort is to restore and remodel the cabin into a modest retreat suitable for one or two people.
I retired from the Navy a few years ago and am building this for myself as a retirement home. It has been a fun project, but is operating on a tight budget. I am am trying to add a few luxuries but have to balance that out with economy in other areas.
