Check out Policy:
Cedar Trails adheres to a "take what you need" policy regarding book checkout for students in grades 3-5. Students may take as many books as they feel they need or can remember to return each week. While students are strongly encouraged to bring their books back each week, they will still have access to checkout even if they have overdue books. Students will be limited, however, to how many books they can borrow if they have overdue books in their account.
Kindergarten students begin the year with one book per week and by January of the new year will be able to borrow up to three books per week.
First grade students may borrow three books.
Second grade students may borrow up to five books.
Returning Books:
Books should be returned by 9:30 am the morning of your library day. If you have a morning class, please do your best to return books the day before your library day. Many teachers find it helpful to assign "library helpers" who are responsible for bringing the books to the library on their assigned library day.
Lost or Damaged Books:
Students should replace lost or damaged books with a similar book and binding. They could also replace the book by purchasing a book off of my Amazon Wishlist.
