Fourth graders will be up to all kinds of fun in the library this October! We will continue our first jobs, time when students use the library databases, learn tips and tricks to stay safe online, and discover how to tell fact from fiction. These first jobs integrate questions or information that will help us understand the read aloud. By the end of the month your student will have used:
Destiny Discover
CultureGrams
Pebble Go Next
Kiddle
SafeSearch Kids
True Flix
All of these sites are on my Symbaloo, which is located on my Clever page. Our read-alouds will focus on narrative fiction and nonfiction. We will also review the 5 types of nonfiction. using my ebook that I made on Book Creator! Together, we will notice how the structure of the story helps students better understand/connect to the story. We will consider the use of illustrations, point of view, and plot and theme. Finally, we will end the month with a spooky read!
