About my artistic practice
I work primarily in drawing, painting and printmaking.
I am interested in the ways light shapes atmospheres and in its relationship with the human figure. Light functions both as a visual element and as a metaphor, revealing and concealing forms.
The image does not aim to depict a scene or illustrate an event, but rather to condense states: silences, tensions, presences.
The various techniques I use do not follow a logic of series, but unfold from a single thread of inquiry that runs through my work: the experience of time, the fragility of the body, and certain existential questions.
The work proposes a space for contemplation where the image remains open.
My artistic practice is complemented by extensive teaching experience in visual arts, a space of exchange and mutual learning that has accompanied and enriched the development of my work.
