- The choice engineering competition is open to everybody.
- The winners of the static and the dynamic schedules competitions will be invited to present their schedules as a talk in a workshop summarizing the competition. If appropriate, they will also be invited to coauthor the paper summarizing the results of the competition
- The size of participating teams is unlimited. However, only two co-authors of each winning submission (i.e. of each track) will be invited (if appropriate) to co-author the paper summarizing the competition.
- Each person may be registered as the first author of no more than a single submission of each track .
- Static submissions may be submitted using the following link.
- Dynamic submissions may be submitted using the following link. Dynamic submissions should be written in Python. If special packages are required then the participants should notify the organizers at least 14 days before the Code Submission Deadline to test for compatibility. Participants interested in using other languages for the dynamic code should contact the organizers in advance and effort will be made to allow additional languages, if applicable.
- In case of a large volume of submissions, initial screening will be applied to select the schedules that will participate in the competition. In this screening we will attempt to maintain diversity of approaches and applicants. Hence, special care should be given to the submission's accompanying information, namely the explanation of the model or principles on which the submission is based.
- The method of successive rejects will be used to identify the winning schedules (link to supplementary)
- All data collected during the competition, as well as the explanatory notes (not longer than 1-page) describing the principles underlying the design of the tested schedules will become publicly available after the competition is concluded.
