“A New Generation of Hibakusha:
Post Nuclear Disaster Social & Political Awakening in Japan and Asia-Pacific countries”
On March 11, 2011 Japan suffered a most devastating earthquake, tsunami, and a deadly nuclear accident in Fukushima with lasting aftermath. Everyday life in most parts of Japan seemed returned to normal quickly - on the surface. On the other hand, there has been a strong undercurrent of anti-nuclear movement across the Japanese society. The nuclear contamination resulted from the tsunami also affected the neighbors such as China, Taiwan and Korea. For the young people in these countries especially, is “Hibaku” - originally referring to the calamity resulted from the atomic bombing of Japan in 1945 - an experience historicized and politicized only for the Japanese?

● Alice was a big draw. As a playwright, she is a fascinating storyteller, and an actor as well. Her “act of a playwright’s life” is very much a drama itself that is heartwarming, funny, touching, twisting at times, and ultimately very inspiring. The audience was mesmerized.
● The premier debut of the CEC Skit Club was crude, funny, even hilarious, and very original. CEC Skit Club’s membership is open. No prior experience required. One hundred percent fun guaranteed.
