| Identity and self-image and their impact on procrastination
Orginising People, Trips & International Experiences

Critical Thinking
Marija
Organizing people and experiences whether it's a tour, a conference, a project or a team is a skill, not a talent some people are just born with, and it's one we're rarely taught directly. That's why this workshop is built around real stories and real problems from organizing tours and working with international groups, designed for anyone who wants to get better at turning ideas into experiences, working with people who don't think the way they do, connect with people and learn from each other.
We are constantly surrounded by information, studies, headlines and claims that sound convincing. But how often do we actually stop and ask: What do I really know, and what am I just assuming?
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to evaluate information, recognize assumptions, question convincing-looking evidence and make better decisions when we don’t have the full picture.
Through examples from science, pharmaceuticals and everyday life, you’ll have to make decisions, challenge your first impressions, discuss your reasoning and decide what you actually believe — and why.
This won’t be a two-hour lecture about critical thinking. You’ll be actively involved throughout the workshop, and you might even change your mind along the way.
Come curious. I’ll see you there.
Afternoon Workshops
The Summer Reception Puzzle
Tamara & Marija
When AI Meets Quantum
Antea & Luka
It starts with a plan. Then… things happen. Someone is late. Someone misunderstood the plan. Two people have completely different ideas. And somehow, you still have to make it work. A Summer Reception is full of moments like these — and this workshop is all about what happens behind the scenes. How do you handle pressure? Who takes responsibility when things go wrong? And how do cultural differences shape the way we work together? Come explore the reality of organizing a Summer Reception with us.
Artificial intelligence has already changed the way we work, and quantum computing could change the way AI learns. In this workshop, participants will discover where these two technologies meet: how quantum computers can accelerate machine learning, how AI helps in the development of quantum computers themselves, and what the real possibilities of this combination are today — and what is still hype. No prior knowledge of physics or mathematics is required.
Through a live demo, participants will see a program running on an actual quantum computer via the IBM Quantum platform. In the hands-on part, they will work in groups: technically oriented participants will try out quantum machine learning tools, while others will explore where the combination of AI and quantum technologies makes the most sense for Croatian industry. The workshop is led by a team from IBM and Valere Margins, with an introduction to career opportunities and ways to get involved in the AI and quantum ecosystem. Who it’s for: students from technical and non-technical faculties, no prior knowledge required.
Interventions for Stress Management (Vienna Waits For You)

Project Management
Kateryna & Gábor
Deadlines, projects, exams, one obligation after another with barely a moment to breathe... If this sounds familiar, it might be time for a break that actually makes a difference. Burnout, chronic stress, or simply the feeling of "too much at once" – the STEM population is especially exposed to these pressures, and rarely do we get taught how to actually cope with them in a way that works. That's why we're organizing the workshop "Vienna Waits For You," designed for anyone who recognizes these patterns in their own everyday life and wants to learn how to address them through an approach grounded in psychological science, not the superficial advice found online. Just as Billy Joel says: Where's the fire, what's the hurry about? "You'd better cool it off before you burn it out." Chill out with us, change your perspective and learn something new!
Effective project management is essential for delivering successful outcomes in any industry. This interactive workshop provides participants with practical tools, methodologies, and best practices to plan, execute, and manage projects efficiently. Whether you're new to project management or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will provide valuable insights into managing tasks, teams, and time effectively.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities, group discussions, and real-world case studies to apply project management principles in a practical setting.
