Prof. Subrata Sarker, (former faculty IGIDR) Visiting Faculty for Econometrics at CDS conducted a two day workshop on "Introduction to Machine Learning.” on the 9th and 10th of July. The topics included Overview of Big Data and machine learning,  techniques of machine  learning (LASSO, Ridge, Elastic Net, Decision Trees, Random Forest, KNN, SVM ), Comparison of econometrics and machine learning techniques for analysing Big Data
