Child Development Center

Child Development Center (C.D.C.) is the first ABA center opened in Bikaner by Mr. PARAJ SINGHVI ( RBT ) a concern of CRIA, Delhi ( Center for Research and Intervention With Applied Behaviour Analysis) in September 2017.

CDC provides systematic intervention programs using ABA guided by objectives which include promoting pre-requisites to learning, communication, language comprehension and conversation, play skills, social skills, motor skills and pre-academic abilities. The ultimate goal being able to achieve observational learning from the environment and functional uses of those skills for children with Neurodevelopment Disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger’s Syndrome, Social Communication Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Global Developmental Delays (GDD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) .

The Most common types of Neurodevelopmental Disorders are

1. Global Developmental Delay

It is a general term used to describe a condition that occurs during the development period of a child between birth to 18 years. It is usually diagnosed with having a lower intellectual

functioning than what is perceived as normal.

2. Intellectual Disability

It is a disability characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior as expressed in conceptual social and practical daptive skills.

This disability originates before age 18 years.

3. Autism Spectrum Disorder

It Refers to a range of conditions characterises by challenges with Social Skills, Repetitive

behaviors, Speech and non-verbal communication, as well as by strengths and differences.

4. Attention Deficit Disorder

It is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by problems in paying attention, excessive activity, or difficulty in controlling behavior which is not appropriate for a person’s age.

5. Cerebral Palsy

It is an umbrella term for a variety of posture and movement disorder arising form permanent

brain damage incurred before, during or immediately after birth.

6. Social Communication Disorder

It encompasses problems with social interaction, social understanding and (Pragmatics) using language in proper context.

The Social Communication and Play Checklist

Child with neurodevelopmental disorder will exhibit one or more following feature-

Speech deficit
Lapse of Eye Contact
Toe Walking
Repetitive behavior

Sterotyped use of objects or speech

(eg. Lining up toys)

Inflexible adherence to routing leading to extreme distress at small change
Normally strong attachment to unusual objects
Hyper or hypo reactivity to sensory inputs.

Hand flapping
Getting Lost in spinning motion
Lack of socialization & Emotional reciprocity.

Person can’t tell the he is feeling happy or sad and can’t feel so for others.
Abnormal social approach and lack or normal back & forth communication.
Unable to understand facial expressions & gestures
Difficulty in understanding imaginative play
Lack of interest in friends
