Ballet Tardy Policy

Ballet is Mandatory for our Elite Team students and our Pointe students and have a strict attendance policy. 

This policy is for all ballet students. It is very important that this class is taken serious as this is your technique class and the beginning of class is the most important is it is your warm-up.  Please remind your dancer the start time of their class. This means students need to be in their classroom in their correct dance attire with their shoes already on and ready to start their class. (Hair in bun, no shorts, leotards, tights and ballet skirts.)

Please make sure your dancers are at the studio at least 5 minutes before their class time and they go straight to their classroom to put their shoes on.

If your dancer is not in class on time and more than 5 minutes late, they will receive a tardy. After 2 tardies it will count towards one of their absences. The only way they will receive an excused tardy is with a written email or phone call from a parent stating they are late due to traffic or an appointment. Being late because they are chatting with friends in the lobby and choosing not to go into their class on time will not be excused.

Multiple absences may result in dancers being put on probation or removed from choreography for upcoming shows/performances. 

It is also very important that when they are in class they are focused, and being respectful to their instructor and classmates. This policy is not a punishment but meant to teach our dancers responsibility and respect towards their classmates and instructors.
