Why I joined CCUW*iP: I have been to 2 CCUW*iPs (2024 & 2026) and I loved my experience during those events. It felt nice to be surronded by other women* in my field and I met some wonderful people. I now want to take this beautiful event to my hometown to show what we have to offer in term of physics and I want people to have the same positive experience I had!

Fun fact: I have a whole range of random knowledge about all sorts of sports—even ones I don't follow.

If I was a greek letter: Pi, because the way I write it is a bit weird, just like me

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I joined the CCUW*iP committee to promote the physics department of the UdS across Canada.

Fun fact: I cannot whisper.

If I was a greek letter: I would be eta, because it is pronouced, written and capitalized all differently, so it confuses me, as myself does.

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I joined the CCUW*iP organizing committee to support initiatives that strengthen the scientific community. It offers valuable experience organizing conferences and events while connecting with physicists across Canada. I am also passionate about outreach and encouraging the next generation of women in STEM. Thanks to CCUW*iP, I hope young girls get to see more and more women represented in physics and can envision pursuing similar paths.

Fun fact: I'm also a musician! These days, I mostly play the flute, especially the bass flute, which has become my favourite instrument.

If I was a greek letter: I would be lambda. I like its elegant shape, standing confidently on two “legs”, and, as someone who loves working with spectral data, I can’t resist its connection to wavelength.

Why I joined CCUW*iP: Because promoting women in physics is a cause that is very important to me. It is a case to which I actively contribute, notably through my involvement in the Diversity Committee of the Departement of Physics at the Université de Sherbrooke, DiPhUS, through which I contribute to various initiatives aimed at fostering a more inclusive environment and mentoring the next generation in science.

Fun fact: I visited the Machu Picchu

If I was a greek letter: I would be the greek letter xi. Because I practiced a long time to perfect the calligraphy and each time I have to write it now, I am proud to have it perfected that skill. It's a nice reminder that if you put the work in, we can do anything!

Why I joined CCUW*iP: After attending two editions of CCUWiP, I wanted to see what goes on behind the scene and help present our lovely little university to the physics community

Fun fact: In high school, I played violin in a university documentary short film, just to learn many months later that it had been screened at the Cannes Film Festival

If I was a greek letter: I feel like I would be Xi, because I recognize myself quite well in the description of a little messy scribble with back problems

Why I joined CCUW*iP: Science communication is a subject I've always cared a lot about. In higher science education, I find that we can often forget the creative aspects of learning, despite the fact that for some that's what it takes to make people want to be better scientists. An opportunity like this one, for me to help make learning fun and to participate in the creation of a space for people to do so together is a dream come true! That is why I chose to join the CCUW*iP organisation committee.

Fun fact: I've been doing illustration as a hobby for about 12 years now!

If I was a greek letter: If I had to pick one, I would say lambda. My reason for it isn't anything fancy. I like waves and optics!

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I joined the CCUW*iP 2027 team by chance when Clémence asked me if I'd be interested in helping her organize a conference for women during a general assembly of students. I accepted by curiosity.

Fun fact: I cooked homemade bagels 7 times this summer and tried to make eclairs without the proper tools.

If I was a greek letter: My greek letter would be lowercase omega "ω" because when I first started to understand rotational mechanics, I was like "ωoω !".

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I decided to be part of the CCUW*iP organization comitee because the conference seamed really interesting and I liked the oportunity of meeting other women* in physics.

Fun fact: I wrote two (fortunatly not published) books in high school and a few of my poems were part of a student literary magazine.

If I was a greek letter: I would be phi because it can be written in two ways and I'm very bad at making decisions as well.

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I had the opportunity to attend CCUW*iP 2026, and it was an amazing experience. I had the chance to bond with other women and gender minorities over our experiences in physics, which is a precious opportunity. It was also very inspiring to see role models in the field. I would like to help give other students the chance to have the same positive experience that I had.

Fun fact: I love learning new languages, and I'm currently learning Mandarin for fun!

If I was a greek letter: Theta... or maybe phi, depending on the convention.

Why I joined CCUW*iP: I joined the organizing committee because I think it's important to give visibility to minorities, especially in physics, where most people are men

Fun fact: I'm passionate about sharks.
