Wintergreen Adaptive Sports would love to involve the CHS community as Junior Instructors or Ambassadors. Instructors need to complete minimum training requirements and are asked to volunteer for at least 7 days of teaching. Ambassadors can provide a variety of support at the base hut or even from home. To learn more about becoming a junior instructor call WAS at (910) 635-9616 or email skivolunteers@skiwas.org. For Ambassador or other volunteer opportunities email: executivedirector.was@gmail.com or call (910) 635-9616

Introduction
This program introduces Youth Patrollers to basic first aid and life saving strategies, providing knowledge for emergency situations that he/she may encounter at home, at school or while playing with friends. Through hands-on and other fun ways to learn, Youth Patrollers will gain cognitive knowledge of National Ski Patrol (NSP) and Wintergreen Ski Patrol (WSP).
Eligibility To be accepted in the program, all applicants must be between the ages of 8 and 15. In addition, applicants should be comfortable skiing/boarding at least intermediate-level terrain, such as that available on Eagle Swoop. More advanced skiers/boarders will spend time on the Highlands.
YSP is affordable ($110) and goes for eight Sundays (January through February). The first two hours are on snow and the second two hours are inside learning medical and mountain protocols. Contact Shari Adams at the link above to sign up or for more info.
