Teeth Whitening FAQ

Q: How does BleachBright work?

A: The client places a prefilled retainer-like tray in their mouth, bites down, and lets the LED light shine on the tray - activating the whitening properties.

Q: Who administers the whitening treatment?

A: This is a self-administered whitening treatment, so the customer does the entire process.

Q: How long does this process take?
A: The whitening itself is a 20-minute treatment, not including prep time. If you wish to add the BluMinerals treatment, which is highly recommended, that's an additional 15 minutes.

Q: Will it make my teeth sensitive?

A: 98% of customers feel no sensitivity, just a little tingling from the peroxide building up.

Q: Will BleachBright whiten my crown?

A: Unfortunately, it won't since it's an unnatural tooth.

Q: How long will the whitening last?

A: On average, the whitening will last 6 months to 1 year. This depends on how you treat your teeth. If you're a smoker or coffee drinker and don't brush your teeth, it will be close to the 6-month mark. If you brush daily and don't smoke or drink coffee it can last up to a year, or potentially more. Every person is different. Results will vary.

Q: How many shades will I whiten?

A: Before the whitening there is no way to tell. The average is 2-8 shades depending on where you start on the shade guide.

Q: Is BleachBright safe for my enamel?

A: Anything you put into your mouth besides water has the potential to damage your enamel.

Q: Can I eat or drink after the whitening?
A: We recommend avoiding eating or drinking anything for the first hour following your whitening treatment. Additionally, avoid smoking, red wine, coffee, or anything dark in color for the first 24 hours. *Adding BluMinerals will help seal and prevent staining as well as protecting your enamel. With this, you don't have to wait to eat anything following the treatment.*
