How do I get to Chieri from the airport?

From Milan Malpensa: take the bus shuttle SADEM and get out at Torino Porta Susa railway station. Then join Torino Lingotto railway station by train or by metro and take a train to Chieri. 

From Torino Caselle: take the bus shuttle to Torino city center and get out at Torino Porta Nuova. Then join Torino Lingotto by metro and take a train to Chieri.

Will I have the possibility to have a rehearsal with the piano accompanist?

Every participant is kindly asked to contact the official piano accompanist of the competition to ask for a rehearsal before the first audition. The secretary of the competition won't be informed about these rehearsals as they are out from the competition's official schedule.

Where will I have the rehearsal with my piano accompanist?

A rehearsal room with a concert piano will be available in the competition location, and it will be possible to  have a short acoustic check in the competition hall during the breaks between the different rounds.

What does the "free accomodation at families during the competition" mean?

It is offered by numerous families from Chieri, Italy. For the whole period of the competition a limited number of participants will be hosted by families out of charge. Only a place to sleep is offered, so participants must respect the families schedule. Meals are not provided by the families, but during the competition there are special offers in some of the restaurants of the city.

How can I apply for the free accomodation?

From 2012 it is possible to do it online, filling out the online application form. Spaces are limited, so enrollment is made upon receipt of full payment, on a first come first serve basis.
