WPCC Classes Seated at FHS ->Fall 2021

ENG 111 & ENG 112 & ENG 232 → English Sequence → (Choose AA Transfer Pathway if you are planning to register for course)

• Must have a 2.8 unweighted GPA (or higher) to enroll in classes

• Substitutes high school English III

• Required Meetings Seated at FHS on Mondays & Online Coursework

• College transfer courses receive the same GPA weight as Advanced Placement (AP) classes (up to 5 weighted points).

• A student will receive 3 college credits per course (9 college credits total) & all courses will be displayed on high school transcript but ENG 232 is the course that actually subs for English III credit, the ENG 111 & ENG 112 classes are prerequisites. Each class will count as 1 high school credit, so 3 high school credits total.

• Year-long (The classes are set up in a trimester format so ENG 111→ August-Nov & ENG 112→ November- February & ENG 232→ February-May)

• ENG 111 & ENG 112 (no fees) & ENG 232 students may rent ENG 232 book for $20.
  

HIS 132 → (Choose: Transfer Pathway Option)

• Must have a 2.8 unweighted GPA (or higher) to enroll in classes

• Substitutes High School American History II Credit

• College transfer courses receive the same GPA weight as Advanced Placement (AP) classes (up to 5 weighted points).

• Class will be seated on either T/Th at FHS and the other day will have a mandatory virtual meeting (hybrid- so online coursework will be required)

• $20 rental fee for book for the semester
  

EDU 119 & EDU 146 → Choose: Early Childhood CTE Pathway AND if you have a 2.8 (or higher) unweighted GPA (also choose→ CCP> Transfer Pathway Option)

• Classes will count as two high school credits (CTE/ Elective Credit) & 6 college credits

• 2 Days - seated at FHS (hybrid- so online coursework will be required)

• EDU 119 8:00-9:30 Mondays/ EDU 146 8:00-9:30 Thursdays

• There is a $30 activity fee for the semester

WLD 110 & WLD 112 (WELDING FLYER) → Choose: Welding CTE Pathway AND if you have at least a 2.8 unweighted GPA (also choose→ CCP> Transfer Pathway Option)

• Classes will count as one high school credit (CTE/ Elective Credit) & 4 college credits

• Seated at FHS Monday-Friday (may have some online coursework)

• No book fees for courses seated at FHS

MAT 143 → Choose: AA Transfer Pathway if you are planning to register for course

• Substitutes for 4th Math high school credit

• Seated at FHS on Mondays & Wednesdays & Fridays - mandatory virtual meetings

• Students receive college credit for course (3 credit hours)/ 1 credit for high school

• College transfer courses receive the same GPA weight as Advanced Placement (AP) classes (up to 5 weighted points).

CJC 111 / CJC 112 → (Criminal Justice Flyer) → Choose: Criminal Justice (CJC CTE Pathway) AND if you have a 2.8 (or higher) unweighted GPA (also choose→ CCP> Transfer Pathway)

• CJC 111-> Mon/ CJC 112 Thurs.→ Seated at FHS & will also have online coursework

• Classes will count as two high school credits (CTE/ Elective Credit) & 6 college credits

• $20 rental fee per book/per semester ($40 rental fee total for both courses)

• CJC 111 (ONLY) College transfer courses receive the same GPA weight as Advanced Placement (AP) classes (up to 5 weighted points). CJC 112 doesn’t receive any weight.

• Students are able to take both classes or one class at a time.
