What does it mean to read and write in a digital environment? How does this differ from traditional reading and writing? In Reading and Writing in Digital Environments, students will interrogate the "lived" technologies used in daily life and build upon them to become cognizant of and competent in "learned" technologies. Students will analyze and produce both digital and multimodal texts to develop a deliberateness in composing digital texts for specific audiences, contexts, and purposes. Our exploration of digital reading and writing will be grounded in theories of rhetoric, writing, and technical and professional communication.
