This project is an opportunity for students show that they understand the scholarly conversation around their topic and can create an argument about their topic. Using the sources they found in their annotated bibliographies (and two new sources, six total), students will script and record a thorough, well-supported 3-4 minute podcast that makes an argument on their topic, using scholarly, peer-reviewed sources. Students will need to write a 200-word audience-grabber (separate from the script) to introduce readers to their topic. This assignment should tie in with the student’s group theme. Students scripts should include verbal citations (also called signal phrasing) and in-text parenthetical citations.
