In connection with the inauguration of the new building to host the Computational Transport Phenomena Laboratory - LCFT/ITA, the Department of Energy - IEME/ITA has established the Competence Center for Energy - CCE/ITA. The center is headquartered in the building for LCFT/ITA, which was opened on April 8^th, 2016. The new Center serve as a conduit for integrating and enabling Institute-wide programs in energy research, development and innovation. Involving the best and brightest ideas from academia and industry, CCE/ITA aims at creating innovative solutions to present and future energy challenges.
