By 2034, the City College of Bayawan Learning Resource Center will be a premier hub of academic resources and digital innovation, empowering learners and educators in the southern Negros Island Region.

MISSION

The Learning Resource Center of the City College of Bayawan is dedicated to cultivating curiosity, connecting learners to diverse and accessible resources, and supporting their journey toward becoming competent, innovative, and globally engaged individuals. We foster a culture of academic integrity, service, and continuous learning for both students and faculty. 

GOALS

The Learning Resource Center of the City College of Bayawan aims to:

• Cultivate information literacy and critical thinking by providing quality resources, programs, and services that promote research competence and lifelong learning.
  
  

• Connect students and faculty to emerging technologies, digital tools, and collaborative opportunities that enhance teaching, learning, and scholarly engagement.
  
  

• Become a dynamic environment that supports academic success through values-driven service, inclusivity, and a commitment to excellence.
  
  

• Strengthen partnerships at the local and global level to expand access to knowledge, share best practices, and enrich the educational experience for the CCB community.

OBJECTIVES

The Learning Resource Center of the City College of Bayawan seeks to:

1. Cultivate academic growth by:
   
   

   • Providing a well-curated and continually updated collection of print and digital resources that support the college's curriculum and research needs.
     
     

   • Offering literacy programs, library orientations, and research skills training to enhance student learning and intellectual development.
     
     

   • Encouraging the ethical use of information through instruction on proper citation, referencing, and avoidance of plagiarism.
     
     

2. Connect learners and educators by:
   
   

   • Facilitating access to online databases, e-resources, and open educational content.
     
     

   • Promoting collaborative learning spaces, both physical and virtual, that support group study, peer mentoring, and knowledge exchange.
     
     

   • Integrating emerging technologies (e.g., digital repositories, library management systems) to streamline access to resources and services.
     
     

3. Become a center of excellence by:
   
   

   • Continuously improving library services through assessment, feedback, and staff development.
     
     

   • Supporting faculty and student research through reference services, research consultations, and access to academic journals and publications.
