To ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all, users are expected to observe the following rules when using the LRC.
Conduct Inside the LRC.
Entry Protocol. Upon arrival, students must log in using their ID number at the designated system located near the entrance. A validated CCB ID must be worn at all times while inside the LRC.
Proper Attire. Students are expected to observe proper dress code as a sign of respect to the academic environment and fellow LRC users. Those who are inappropriately dressed may be denied entry.
Silence and Respect. Silence must be observed at all times. The LRC is a shared learning space, and all users are expected to show courtesy and respect by keeping noise to a minimum. Loud conversations, unnecessary movements, or any disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Order and Cleanliness. Students must return chairs properly after use and keep their reading areas clean. Trash should be disposed of in the designated bins.
No Eating. Eating, drinking (except water in tightly sealed containers) are strictly prohibited inside the LRC premises.
Mutilation and Vandalism. Writing on, tearing, or removing pages from LRC materials is a serious offense.
Theft of LRC Property. Any attempt to steal LRC property will be reported to the Office of Student Affairs and the appropriate College Department. The student will be:
Suspended from all LRC services for the rest of the current semester, and
Subject to further disciplinary action.
Hiding or Misplacing Materials. Students caught hiding or intentionally misplacing books or resources will receive a written warning. Repeat offenses will lead to a one-month suspension of LRC privileges. Copies of the report will be forwarded to the Office of Student Affairs and the College Dean.
