CONFERENCE NAME BADGES- Name badges will be issued at registration area and must be worn to get into conference and for meal and events.
CREDIT/CERTIFICATES- We have paired with multiple organizations to get specific credits. We are offering:
Clock Hour Certificates- Conference Certificates will be given for clock hours for each day of the conference- find this in your conference brochure on the last page, tear it out and mark the days you attended.
CEU's- White Earth Tribal Community College offers CEU’s for this conference. CEU’s are free. The college representatives will be available during the conference to sign up for this. If you want to sign up ahead of time here is the link: https://wetcc.populiweb.com/router/admissions/onlineapplications/index?application_form you can upload your ID online here too. If signing up on site PLEASE BRING YOUR ID and TRIBAL ID if applicable.
DEVELOP Credit- Achieve Center for Professional Development will offer DEVELOP Approved hours in "Professional Development". (Child Care/Early Childhood Professionals, Child Care Aware/Parent Aware) A table will be available during the conference to sign up for this. *Please note that Pre-Conference DEVELOP Credit will be given by the Trainer in a specific KCF area, more information will be available on the day of the training.
LIMITED SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE- There is a limited amount of scholarship funding available for identified priority populations as stated by our scholarship funding agency to attend the full conference. Scholarships are approved on a first come first serve basis. To see if you are eligible for a scholarship, or to request an application, you can contact: Jessica Harstad at jessica.harstad@whiteearth-nsn.gov for an application. Please note: Prior approval is needed from Jessica for scholarships. If you were not pre-approved for a scholarship you must send in payment with your registration.
CHILDREN- As much as this conference is about children; and everyone loves children, we ask that participants do not bring children into conference sessions/activities.
CONFERENCE MEALS- Meals are provided for conference participants only. Please specify if you are requesting additional meals for nonparticipants. Additional meals will be $65 per person and must be paid in advance. No exceptions.
CONFERENCE AMENITIES- Conference Tote-bags, Credits/C.E.U.’s, Conference Clothes and Merchandise, Vendors, Door Prizes, Silent Auction **Private area will be available for nursing mothers for breastfeeding/expressing milk/feeding watch for signs.
SILENT AUCTION- Available onsite. Bidding on various baskets and items. Proceeds will go to future scholarships.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS- A block of rooms has been reserved at the Shooting Star Casino Hotel & Event Center for August 12th, 13th, and 14th. When registering, please request your preference in room Please reference Group/Block Code #18014. Hotel costs are at the participant’s expense. Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT Wednesday night starting at 5:30pm there will be a meal served and entertainment participants are welcome for a night of fun and relaxation. (badges needed to enter)
