Caviq is developed and published by Mindraith Forge.
Caviq is a financial tracking and calculation application designed to help users, particularly P2P traders, organize balances, capital movements, snapshots, obligations, investments, and estimated financial performance.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Caviq handles, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
Caviq lets you manually enter financial information such as balances, accounts, transactions, capital movements, receivables, payables, investments, snapshots, notes, and exchange rates.
Your manually entered financial records are stored locally on your device.
Caviq does not upload your balances, transaction amounts, snapshots, investments, debts, financial notes, or other manually entered financial records to Firebase.
Caviq does not sell your financial data and does not provide it to advertisers for advertising targeting.
Caviq does not connect directly to your bank accounts, automatically read bank balances, request banking passwords or PINs, or initiate financial transfers or trades on your behalf.
Caviq requires sign-in with a Google Account.
Authentication is provided through Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication.
When you sign in, Caviq may process limited account information provided through Google and Firebase, including your:
name;
email address;
unique Firebase user identifier;
Caviq ID; and
basic account and entitlement status.
Your Google Account password is never provided to Caviq.
Caviq creates a unique Caviq ID for account management and account-related features.
On devices where multiple Caviq accounts are used, local financial workspaces are kept separate so that one signed-in account cannot access another account's local financial workspace through Caviq.
Caviq uses Firebase services to store limited information required to operate your account.
This may include your Caviq ID, account creation information, account status, and entitlement information such as whether your account is Free, Pro, or temporarily eligible for an ad-free period.
Your manually entered financial records are not stored in Cloud Firestore.
Caviq currently uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Hosting for account authentication, account management, entitlement management, and account deletion.
Firebase may process technical information such as IP address, device or application metadata, authentication identifiers, and user identifiers to provide, secure, and protect these services.
Caviq follows a local-first approach.
Your financial database remains on your device unless you intentionally create a backup.
Backups created by Caviq contain data from the active local workspace and may be stored wherever you choose to save or transfer the backup file.
Caviq does not automatically upload your financial backup to Firebase.
You are responsible for protecting your device and any backup files you create.
Deleting the application, clearing application data, restoring another database, or deleting a local workspace may remove locally stored information.
When automatic exchange-rate updates are enabled, Caviq connects to ExchangeRate-API to retrieve public exchange-rate data.
Caviq does not send your balances, transaction amounts, account names, notes, snapshots, investments, debts, or other manually entered financial information to the exchange-rate provider.
Caviq currently retrieves a public exchange-rate table and performs the required currency selection and calculations locally.
As with ordinary internet connections, the exchange-rate provider may receive technical connection information such as your public IP address.
Exchange rates shown by Caviq are reference rates and may differ from rates offered by banks, payment services, cryptocurrency platforms, P2P markets, or exchanges.
Caviq may use Firebase Analytics and technical diagnostic services to understand general application usage, improve reliability, and identify technical problems.
This may include information such as app version, device or operating-system information, application interactions, performance information, and technical error information.
Caviq does not intentionally include your manually entered balances, transaction amounts, financial notes, banking credentials, or other private financial records in Analytics events or diagnostic reports.
The free version of Caviq may display advertisements using Google AdMob.
Google and its advertising services may process information such as device information, IP address, advertising-related identifiers where available, ad interactions, app interactions, and technical information to provide, measure, secure, and prevent fraud in advertising services.
Where required, Caviq uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to provide applicable consent and privacy choices.
Caviq does not send your manually entered financial balances, transaction amounts, snapshots, investments, debts, or financial notes to AdMob for advertising targeting.
You can permanently delete your Caviq account from Settings → Account → Delete account.
You can also request deletion without using the application through the Caviq Account Deletion web page.
Deleting your Caviq account removes the account information controlled by Caviq, including your:
Caviq account, Firebase Authentication account, Caviq ID, cloud account record, entitlements, and other cloud data associated with that account.
When deletion is performed from inside the Caviq application, the local workspace associated with that account on the current device is also removed after the server-side deletion succeeds.
The web deletion page cannot access files stored locally on your phone or other devices. Therefore, locally stored financial records on those devices are not automatically erased by a web deletion request.
If you want to preserve local financial records, create a backup before deleting your account.
Account deletion is intended to be permanent, and deleted cloud account data cannot normally be restored.
Local financial information remains on your device until you delete it, clear application data, replace or restore the database, remove the applicable workspace, or uninstall the application where applicable.
Cloud account information is retained while your Caviq account remains active and is deleted when the account deletion process is completed, except where limited retention may be required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or operation of third-party infrastructure.
Third-party providers may retain certain technical records according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies.
Mindraith Forge uses reasonable technical measures intended to protect information handled by Caviq.
Account access and sensitive cloud operations use Firebase authentication and server-side authorization.
Caviq also separates local financial workspaces by account on supported devices.
No application, device, network, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect your Google Account, device, and backup files appropriately.
Caviq may use third-party services necessary to provide its features, including Google Play, Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Firebase Hosting, Firebase Analytics, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, and ExchangeRate-API.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Caviq is not designed or directed toward children.
The application is intended for users who are capable of managing and understanding their own financial records.
Caviq may be available in multiple countries.
Privacy and consent rights may vary by country or region. Where required, Caviq may provide additional privacy choices or consent mechanisms.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Caviq's features, services, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.
The current version will be made available through the official Caviq privacy-policy page.
