With my 7+ years of musical experience, I have explored a variety of musical styles and techniques. I am currently a Music Education student at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. At UCLA, I study classical saxophone under the guidance of Dr. Jan Berry Baker.
Music has been a huge part of my life since I was young. As a child, I took lessons in piano, violin, and voice before pursuing the saxophone 7 years ago. In my musical career, I have played in a variety of settings. I have participated in large and small jazz ensembles, with lots of exploration into improvisational techniques. I also have experience in the classical field of saxophone, with playing in large concert bands, small chamber groups, and performing classical saxophone solo repertoire. No matter what your passions are, I am ready to help you achieve your goals.
All my life I've had a passion for teaching and am excited to make a start in my professional teaching career. As a student of private lessons and a former lesson studio employee, I've seen firsthand how beneficial private lessons can be. One-on-one lessons can provide an opportunity for students to achieve their musical goals, attain a high level of personal growth, and improve their technical and musical understanding of their instrument. My goal is to provide accessible, individualized, and fun lessons for students of all ages and experiences!
