Registration opens at 9.45am. Please arrive in plenty of time to register. Registration is situated in the sports hall inside Newfield school. There will be signs directing you to registration on the day.
Yes, we have a team of volunteer marshalls along the route.
Yes, there is a tail runner who will run the 5km route first, then who will catch up to tail run the 10km route.
Yes, there is a water fountain in Newfield school located up the corridor just past registration. There will also be water buttresses on the school field. We aim to be a green event, so please bring a refillable water bottle.
Yes, you can enter on the day (providing the event isn't full). If you are paying on the day, please bring cash.
Please bring some cash to pay for a sandwich, cake and drinks. Although some of the stalls may provide a card option cash will make things quicker and easier for everyone.
No, we will give you your race number on registration. Please arrive in plenty of time, and if you can remember to bring your own safety pins that would be very helpful. However we will provide some safety pins.
The Cat Lane Canter is predominantly run on woodland trails, therefore trail shoes are recommended.
Yes there is a fun run consisting of 2 laps of the Newfield school playing field. This will take place during the 5km and 10km race. Entry is £2 on the day, this cannot be ordered in advance. All ages are welcome. Please bring cash.
Yes, there is limited parking in the Newfield School car park. As we aim to be a green event, please cycle, run or take public transport if you can. If you do come by car, please car share if possible.
Entrants for the 10km must be 14 or over, entrants for the 5km must be aged 10 or over on race day. Parental consent is required for entrants aged under 18. Children aged 10-11 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult who has entered the run.
No, unfortunately The Cat Lane Canter is a no dogs event.
