August-November 2022- I worked with the non-for-profit Apathy is Boring through their RISE program. Through the program, I did community outreach, helped write and publish a zine on the topics of housing rights and precarity in Halifax as part of a team. You can read the zine here:

10th year, ongoing- I have been participating with Girl Guides for the past 10 years and have held a leadership role such as the youth member with Sudbury's Girl Guides Special Events Planning Committee. I helped organize and MC various special gatherings and award ceremonies on the committee.Â
Now I volunteer with a Brownie/Guide unit where I help run activities and trips for girls ages 7-12.
April/May 2022- I gathered with post-secondary student from universities across Nova Scotia at the Dalhousie Agricultural campus to address food security from an industry perspective. We had the chance to interview to steakholders, learn about human-centered design/problem solving, and work on prototyping and ideation. I was in a group that had a focus on the goat/sheep industry.
In my free time I like to practice art, mainly beadwork. Recently, I've been improving my skills in and experimenting with fish leather tanning.
November 2021- I worked with a group of other Indigenous youth from across Canada to learn about and write a policy brief on Indigenous distinctions-based health legislation as part of engagement by Indigenous Services Canada.
2022/2023 School Year- Helping to establish an Indigenous student science interest group at Dalhousie University
