The main aim of this WebQuest is to enable high school graduates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia develop knowledge of English as a Foreign Language along with basic IT and Math skills. This aim can only be achieved with the close collaboration of EFL, IT and Math instructors in the implementation of the project.
The selected topic aims at raising students' intrinsic as well as extrinsic motivation for developing life and work skills. Participants in the WebQuest are given the opportunity to develop an awareness of the connection between the skills they acquire in the classroom and those required of those who join the work force in the 21st century. In addition, the topic is intended to enable instructors and student participants to develop the cultural awareness and sensitivity required in present day intercultural communication.
